Optimize your German language skills and integrate successfully in Germany with our comprehensive integration course. This course is specially designed for immigrants and combines a language course with an orientation course to teach you both language and cultural skills.

The language course

The language course forms the core of the integration course. The duration of the language course varies depending on your individual learning requirements and the specific course format that is best suited to you:

  • General integration course: 600 teaching units
  • Special courses (e.g. for young people): Up to 900 teaching units
  • Intensive course: 400 teaching units

In this course you will acquire practical language skills for everyday life and work, including:

  • Job search and application process
  • Educational opportunities and professional development
  • Everyday communication situations such as shopping, health care and leisure activities
  • Writing letters and e-mails, filling out forms and making phone calls

Completion of the language course is marked by successful participation in the “German Test for Immigrants” (DTZ) at level B1.

The orientation course

After completing the language course, you will continue your learning experience with the orientation course, which comprises 100 teaching units, or 30 teaching units as part of an intensive course. This course will deepen your understanding of:

  • The German legal system, history and culture
  • Values and social coexistence in Germany
  • Rights and obligations of citizens

The orientation course ends with the “Living in Germany” test, which tests your knowledge of German society, history and culture.

Course duration and costs

  • General integration course: 700 teaching units
  • Extended course formats: Up to 1,000 teaching units for participants with specific needs
  • Intensive course: 430 teaching units for fast learning

Our aim with this course is not only to teach you the language, but also to give you a deep understanding of German culture and society so that you can successfully integrate into your new living environment.

Directions:

  • Leave the suspension railway station and walk north on Berliner Straße.
  • Turn right onto Schwarzbach.
  • Continue straight ahead, the road becomes the B7 (Friedrich-Engels-Allee).
  • Walk along Friedrich-Engels-Allee until you reach number 432 on the right-hand side.

  • Turn left onto Carnaper Straße.

  • Leave the bus stop and walk east on Höhne street.
  • Follow the road until it becomes Carnaper Straße.
