Are you studying medicine or have you already completed your medical studies and are about to be licensed to practice medicine?

Would you like to do your specialist training in Germany? Would you like to prepare for your work in a clinic or hospital?

Would you also like to successfully complete the telc German B2-C1 Medicine language test or the specialist language test at the Medical Association or improve your communication skills and intercultural competence in a medical working environment?

We successfully prepare doctors from all medical specialties (including dentistry) for the German examination of the Medical Association for licensing, the TELC B2/C1 medical examination or the Patient Communication Test (PKT).

After completing the course, you will be well equipped to work as a doctor and can take the official telc German Medicine B2/C1 language exam at our test center.

What is telc Deutsch B2-C1 Medizin and the Fachsprachprüfung (FSP) of the German Medical Association?

telc Deutsch B2-C1 Medizin is a scaled examination at the B2 and C1 competence levels. It tests the specialist German language skills of doctors from abroad. In terms of lexis and grammatical structures, it is in the upper range of B2 and C1. The specialist terminology is geared to the practical day-to-day work of a hospital or clinic.
The exam evaluates your language skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking. Your language certificate will tell you exactly in which areas you have reached level B2 or C1.

The specialist language test also tests your professional language skills. It is carried out by the medical associations in various federal states.

The language test lasts 60 minutes and is divided into 3 sections, each lasting 20 minutes.

  1. Doctor-patient discussion
  2. Documentation
  3. Doctor-doctor discussion

It is required that you can use paraphrased language. This means that you can communicate with your patients using as few technical terms as possible.

Which exam do I have to take?

Proof of language skills in the form of a specialist language test is a prerequisite for the granting of a license to practice medicine or a license to practice medicine for foreign doctors. Please always enquire with your competent recognition authority before registering for a binding examination to find out which examination you have to take in your federal state to obtain a license to practice medicine!

Type of event

We adapt to your needs! We know that as a doctor who is already working, you are often exposed to changing shifts or need flexible solutions. Accordingly, the solutions for further training must be individualized.

Groups are therefore put together individually and lesson times are arranged flexibly.

Lessons can take place online or as face-to-face lessons at your facility or hospital, at our premises in a group or as individual lessons.

Teaching scope

Each course is as individual as its participants. We first determine the language level of the participants with a qualified written placement test. After the placement test, we will discuss the number of lessons likely to be required for your goal and any necessary group division.

Groups or participants with a higher language level do not need to attend as many lessons as others who require more intensive or longer support.

Completion of the course

Our language courses for medical professionals are generally aimed at passing the telc Deutsch Medizin B2/C1 language exam or the specialist language exam at the medical association of your federal state.

The course concludes with an official telc or technical language examination and a certificate of attendance. However, there is no obligation to take one of the exams if your goal is only to improve your language skills. You will therefore receive a certificate of participation in any case.

Your goals are our goals. Therefore, your goals show us the way to your success.

Promotion

We are an approved provider according to AZAV. Care facilities and hospitals can benefit up to 100% from the Qualification Opportunities Act. Education vouchers and the education premium can also be used. Ask us about the possibilities of financial support.
