Integration course for people with low literacy skills
With us step by step to language and participation

What is an integration course for people with low literacy skills?

This course is aimed at people with very poor reading and writing skills – so-called functional illiterates or people with low literacy levels. Many participants have hardly any written language skills in their native language or are unaccustomed to writing and learning. The course combines literacy with learning German and is specially tailored to the needs of this target group.

The BAMF has developed its own course concept for this purpose, which provides for a slow progression, practical content and participant-oriented methods.

The aim is to combine literacy and learning German in order to enable participation in social life and access to the labor market.
