telc Deutsch B1-B2 Pflege is a technical language examination for nursing staff in the care of the elderly and sick. It covers the upper range of B1 and B2 in terms of vocabulary and grammatical structures. The examination is aimed at people who have a recognized qualification in a nursing profession and must prove B1 or B2 knowledge of the German language in order to practice this profession.
telc Deutsch B1-B2 Pflege is a dual-level exam. It offers a differentiated evaluation of your language skills in reading, listening, writing and speaking. You will find out exactly in which areas level B1 or B2 has been achieved. If you pass the exam successfully, you will receive an official and internationally recognized certificate from telc.
At level B2 you can understand technical discussions and the main content of complex specialist texts in the field of geriatric and nursing care. They can communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is possible without much effort on either side. At level B1, you can understand factual information on everyday or work-related topics from the field of geriatric and nursing care and recognize the main messages and individual pieces of information. They can communicate with some confidence about familiar routine matters, but also about other matters relating to care for the elderly and sick.
The examination consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 1 hour and 55 minutes. You have 20 minutes to prepare before the oral examination. The oral examination can take place on the day of the written examination or on another day.
Yes. You can repeat the exam as often as you like. You must repeat the entire examination – written and oral.

The examination fee is €250.
Please arrive at our test center at least 30 to 45 minutes before the start of the test.
You should have a valid identity card or passport with you.
We offer various preparation courses for the telc exams. Please ask at our test center for a suitable preparation for you. We will help you further!
The evaluation can take 4 to 6 weeks. The exams are assessed at the telc headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. As soon as we, the examination center, have the results, we will inform you immediately. You can then collect your certificate on presentation of your identity card.
Yes. Shipping is of course possible. However, shipping by post must be paid for on the day of the test. It costs €50 in Germany and €80 in other EU countries. Outside the EU, we send the certificates by DHL Express shipping for a fee of €100 for security reasons.
With an original signed power of attorney and a copy of your identity card, the certificate can also be collected by another person. Please remember that the person collecting the ticket must also have their identity card or passport with them.
Your language certificate will be valid indefinitely.
