A brief overview
Caregivers and assistants are currently being sought throughout Germany. For
applicants from abroad, sometimes all that is missing is the appropriate
language skills. With proof of solid German language skills at
level B1.1, people with a migration background also have
excellent chances of finding a job. The course offers participants
specific content at level B1.1 that is tailored to their professional needs
in the care sector.
The course focuses on building a basic
vocabulary and developing language skills that are required in everyday care work
. This includes interacting with patients, understanding
and formulating instructions, describing symptoms and
explaining treatment plans.
An important focus is on developing communicative
skills to interact effectively with patients. This includes having
simple conversations, identifying needs and
wishes, understanding complaints and building a
trusting relationship.
The course also teaches basic medical terminology and
terminology relevant to the care sector. This includes
the naming of body parts, diseases,
medications and medical devices, for example.
In the care sector, accurate documentation of treatments and
care measures is of great importance. The course provides knowledge of
correct written documentation including the writing of
reports, protocols and care plans.
As the nursing field is often multicultural, intercultural
communication strategies can be an important part of the course. This
includes dealing with cultural differences, sensitivity to
different needs and dealing respectfully with diversity.
In order to apply what has been learned in realistic situations,
role plays and practical exercises can be integrated into the lessons.
This enables participants to apply their language skills practically
and prepare for real care situations.

I had a very positive experience at IEC Wuppertal and would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn German and integrate into life in Germany. From the very first day of registration, I felt welcomed. The lady in the office was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. She explained everything clearly and made the registration process easy and comfortable. Before starting the course, I completed a placement test, which determined the appropriate level for me. Based on my results, I joined the course at A2 level. This ensured that I could continue learning at the level that best matched my language skills. During my studies, I was fortunate to have Mr. Falk and Mr. Lugar as my teachers. Both are highly knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. They understand the challenges that foreign students face when learning German and always explained topics in a clear and practical way. Their teaching methods helped me improve my German significantly. The course was not only focused on the German language but also on German culture, society, and everyday life. I learned a great deal about Germany and gained valuable knowledge that helps me in my daily life here. After completing the B1 course, I attended the Orientation Course, where we learned about German history, the legal system, and democratic values. As someone who is very interested in history, I found this part especially fascinating and informative. The facilities at IEC Wuppertal are also very good. The classrooms are spacious and comfortable for learning. There is a small kitchen equipped with a coffee machine, microwave, and cooking facilities where students can prepare coffee or warm up their food. The school also offers childcare services for student mothers with young children, which is a great support for families. Separate restroom facilities are available for male and female students as well. Another highlight was the excursions organized during the course. These trips were interesting, educational, and gave us the opportunity to experience German culture outside the classroom. Overall, my experience at IEC Wuppertal was excellent. I successfully completed my B1 course with very good results, improved my German language skills, and learned a lot about German culture, history, and society. I am very grateful to the teachers and staff for their support and dedication. I highly recommend IEC Wuppertal to all foreigners who want to learn German and integrate successfully into Germany. Thank you very much to the entire IEC team! ❤️ sujeewa jayanathTrustindex überprüft, ob die Originalquelle der Bewertung Google ist.
